Hansa is a hidden gem tucked behind the Libertyville train station, and it's easily one of the coolest spots in town. The coffee is unique and complex, the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly, and the chic, modern interior gives off laid-back, hip vibes. Try the Chili P--my personal favorite--and don't skip the pastries, they're always fresh. Parking can be tricky, but if you park along the fence, you're set. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I have only been here twice but really enjoyed it each time. The Chili Mocha was really good and I was excited to get it again but this time I tried the brown butter latte. I highly recommend it as well. They have a number of different gluten free muffins etc available. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and they have a pretty good sized dining/seating area.

You guessed it, you get Hansa Coffee Roasters in Libertyville. Such a wonderful experience each and every time I stop in. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is like no other. Friendly coffee shop and professional coffee roaster. Enjoyed the lattes here and also brought some great coffee beans home. Easy to access from a highway. Would recommend!

I love this place! Whenever I am in the northern Chicago area abdc need a place to have coffee and work I find my way to Hansa. Hansa hands down has the best baristas who are not only good at making you your brew, but are also genuinely some of the nicest and friendliest people. They care and it shows. There is also delicious pastries available and for gluten free patrons such as myself have a great selection of very tasty gf cookies, muffins, and bloody bars to choose from. If you love their coffee you can also purchase fresh roasted beans to take home. Hansa beats Starbucks any day all day. And it's close by to catch the train if you need a C place to grab a coffee and wait for your trip.

I've heard wonderful things about Hansa Coffee so it was a must stop while in the area. This coffee shop was the happening spot for midmorning on a Saturday! Parking was a bit difficult but otherwise, it proved to not be a problem. The coffee shop itself is broken into two spaces: entry with ordering/coffee counter and large seating space. Having these be separate allowed the ordering counter to not be crowded even though many people were visiting. It took me a bit to digest the menu on what to order. In the meantime, the staff member told us how they make all their own syrups and baked good items in house! I ended up getting a honey lavender latte and my fiancé got a chai (our go tos). The drinks were ready in about 5 minutes. Served at a great temp and packed with flavor. The chai was about 60% sweet and 40% spiced but balanced well. My latte had a good roast flavor, nice caffeine level, and flavors were subtle. We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and would certainly come back when passing through the area!

Came in a hot summer morning, missed the train, so walked a couple minutes to this contemporary finished shop next to the station. Surprised how roomy this coffee shop is. Great for group meetings . Scone looked so good, and indeed very yummy. Cold Brew was a little too watery in my opinion.

What a cute little coffee shop! I'd definitely come back to do some work or to hang out with friends + Food & drink: I got the Blueberry Latte and the Blueberry Muffin. The latte was 6/10, there was no taste of blueberry and a bit milky (not sure if they got my order wrong). The muffin was good, 8.5/10. Not too sweet and soft with strong hints of blueberry + Ambience: They mainly have outside seatings in the garage (so the AC part of the cafe is separated). Good amount of seatings, pretty busy on Sunday afternoon. Wifi is decent, some outlets by the wall. Noise level varies cause there's a mix of people hanging out and working.
